New location is spacious and nicely decorated. Food was delicious and if you want to enjoy a signature Prime Rib dinner (not on the menu), you better get there by 4 pm. Owner is a very nice fella, stops by and interacts with patrons.

We stopped by Low Gap Cafe after hiking and we were starving! I’m am always on a quest for an amazing burger and OMG my burger here was Uh MAZING! It was sooo good. I got it with cheddar, bacon, and grilled onions. I also added pickles, mayo and mustard. The bun was toasted and I loved that so much. My husband also got a burger. His favorite was the pickle strips. The French fries that came with our burger were exactly perfect. Cooked well, hot, salty, not greasy. Awesome. The iced tea was good and our server kept our glasses topped off. We split a piece of chocolate cake which was warm, with a moist tender sponge and deeeeeelicious frosting. We had excellent service and our food arrived more quickly than I expected. We will for sure be back when we are in Jasper again.

Great little place. We had the chicken fried steak and gravy and the chicken fettuccine. It was tasty and filling. They don't allow dogs inside but were kind enough to let us sit out on the front porch, with our dog, and eat dinner. The waitress was such a sweet lady. She was so good to us and you could tell she had a soft spot for dogs. We were just passing through. What a nice experience in our trip.

I had lunch at Low Gap Cafe in Jasper today. It’s a convenient location close to the square with plenty of parking. The food was great- all dishes were well prepared , fresh and hot. My table ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich , the brisket sandwich and the chicken fried steak dinner. The portions were large and the ladies took home left overs for dinner. The men managed to eat almost every bite of their meals which was quite an accomplishment considering the size of the chicken friend steak! Everyone agreed the food was delicious and our server was very friendly and helpful. Two of us managed to save room for dessert and we both ordered the lemon blueberry cake which was very light and a wonderful combination of fresh, citrusy flavors. We will definitely return to Low Gap Cafe when we are in the area. I almost forgot to mention the biscuits that come before your meal but we could have made a meal out of then they were so delicious. Very light and fluffy, it was hard to eat just one.

We visited Low Gap Cafe for dinner during a stay at Buffalo Outdoor Center. The food was great and they have a nice variety. They even have several vegetarian options. Our table had spinach artichoke dip, cheddar biscuits, chicken carbonara, lamb, steak and a chicken and rice dish. We also ended the meal with the mascarpone cake; which was absolutely delightful. All the food was wonderful. The portions were very generous. One note - this is the same Low Gap Cafe as the original spot - just a new location. The old location still has a sign, so we’re a bit confused, but very glad we found it! The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. Two tips - 1. You’re in a dry county, so if you want wine or an adult beverage with your dinner, bring your own. The owners have opted to pass along their card fees to the customers. I almost knocked down a star for this. Card fees are a standard cost of doing business and the owners really shouldn’t put their wait staff in the awkward position of having to relay the extra charge when bringing the check. All this to say, plan ahead and take cash.

I won’t lie, I was not expecting this kind of restaurant in the area. Solid offerings, and very tasty. I got the chicken fried steak, which I have been craving for our entire time in Arkansas and it was excellent, and my husband had a burger and fries which were the best we’ve had in months. Honestly, though, the standout was the service. Dawn was our waitress and I don’t think I’ve come across as friendly, helpful, and funny a server in quite a long time. Thank you, Dawn for making our experience incredibly positive!
